Google Earth - speckled image

Just noticed that a few parts of the UK (so far only found a few) are shown in a pixellated form, no detail. In particular north west Manchester around Worsley (when at an altitude of around 5,000-50,000ft, and also around Blackpool at an altitude of around 54 miles.

It's as if some of the imagery is not available from the servers.

Anyone else see it, or is it just me?

FWIW I've just applied the latest Windows updates, and updated my Nvidia graphics driver. If these were causing a problem I'd have expected it to affect all of Google Earth not just some very small part.

Cleared Google Earth's memory & disc cache and it's now ok. The pixelation was as if a small number of images had, for whatever reason, failed to decompress.

Anyway now all sorted
