BIOS display

Just got new EIZO 23inch Monitor and now my BIOS display flashes so quick I can't read it, never happened on my NEC monitor.
Connected with dvi, tried hdmi but no difference.
Boot up faster now, Strange. same on windows 7 and 8!

Did you buy a faster PC base unit at the same time?

No. Same box, nothing else changed.

I found this...it is all about the time it is taking for the monitor to come out of sleep mode, ie. by the time the monitor has "woken up" the bios has done its bit.

If you timed the actual time it takes from pressing the power button to displaying the desktop on the old and new monitor it will be exactly the same.

Perhaps there is a BIOS option to pause start up until the monitor tells it that it is ready?
