Does Windows 7 Pro come with its e-mail program?

Sorry to have asked a "simple" question, but I have upgraded my PC from XP pro, which came with its e-mail program called Windows Express etc, to Windows 7 Pro because of XP been deserted by MS and secondly I had OS's system corruption. However having gone through ALL these W7 updates to approx. 150+ and I just seemed to have found that this W7 Pro doesn't come with any MS e-mail program, or am I missing to have spotted it any where??
Could some one kindly confirm this for W 7 Pro has come with any e-mail program at all? And if it isn't, could you recommend ANY non-pay good e-mail programs that I may consider using???

Answers here. One option is to go with Windows Live Mail, which can be downloaded from Microsoft. Another option is Mozilla Thunderbird, which is a traditional e-mail client. Alternatively, you could dispense with e-mail clients altogether and access your mail via web browsers. Yet another (but not free) option is to subscribe to Microsoft Office 365 and use Outlook.

Get XP Updates (only on x86 systems)
You can use a simple registry change to convince the update service, that this is an embedded system which has support up to (I think) 2019. Just put this into the registry (copy content to a .reg file and launch):


Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\WPA\WES]
"Installed"=dword:00000001

Thank you for the reply! I have since installed "Thunderbird" e-mail client and set up all my existing e-mail accounts using that with great success. I prefer to stay it that way rather than purely relying on MS. Above all I can always switch to other 3rd party e-mail clients if I wanted to.

WLM is nowadays part of Windows Live Essentials (WLE). I prefer the older WLM 2009, part of WLE {no year}, as it is less ribbony than WLM 2011.
