Think you can put Chrome down to the fact every piece of "Free" software on the internet has "Install Chrome" set "Chrome as default browser" etc.

apart from the UI is a pig, it is slow and i am pretty sure not as secure as others.

Really? they should have done that years ago. It seems like they will eventually let it die and will go for their Chrome clone.

Re IE - apparently they have this new jobbie called Spartan in Win 10 (that was in ComputerActive so it must be true, mustn't it?) and it seems does bear some resemblance to GC.

Win10 also includes Cortana and Inking? Er what? I'll be leaving all you techies to sort out the usual MS bugs before I venture into it.

That is the chrome clone, ok it looks like chrome but will use a different engine. It have to be better than IE, anything is better than IE.

As i said I have never used IE as my main browser and I can not see it changing even with their chrome clone.

What is Inking? Cortana will not work in the UK unless you change the language, which I can not be bothered to do and at the end of the day i prefer to do my searching int he browser, not in the OS.

Just more integration then that Ms thinks we need and will use. More ways to find out what you do on the net.

I'm convinced that MS sometimes introduces these things we didn't know we needed 'because they can'.

To be fair it is not just Microsoft who does this.
