Making the monitor round, or calling the mouse a chihuahua is not progress.

One of the Reviews that I read, concerning the new Browser ("Edge"), was full of praise of how it was virtually no different from every other Browser!

Huh? If it is not any different, why waste all the time to develop it then?

using the desktop option 98.948% of the time.

My first task after getting 8.1 was to find out how to boot to the desktop so it's 100% in my case. I do occasionally accidentally see a strange set of images (some call them tiles I think) but hitting the "windows" key quickly puts that right.

How large is the Win 10 OS update? Internet could be fun and slower than normal if millions are updating.

Windows updates can slow the internet down on patch Tuesday

Well the pre-download Folder ($Windows.~BT) is 6GB, but this doesn't appear to include that actual Operating System as the Sub-Folder (NewOS) is still empty! However, I've seen references that the next d/l is about 3GB (but don't quote me)!

Apparently I've had 1 failures to update to Windows 10 so far - it looks like there are going to be problems...

The video recommending a clean install did rather suggest to me they weren't at all confident about in-situ upgrades. He laid it on quite strongly, without going into the messiness of the backup and selective restore he mentioned in a very off-hand way as an aside.

A very "Blue Sky" video. A favorite MS color.

The indispensable man or woman passes from the scene, and what happens next is more or less the same thing as was happening before.

Other than those on the Insider Program (or similar), has anyone actually been upgraded today?

So far it is looking like a big non-event!!
