Still waiting for mine.

I haven't received any promised email, from Microsoft, but I've just noticed that clicking on the "Reserved" Icon now advises me that it is ready to proceed!

I find all these posts very dispiriting.

It's clear that you guys are with it technically, and stand a good chance of hacking through whatever MS chooses to throw your way (I'm not!).

Yet MS wants all us noddies to update (upgrade???) as well - and then shows meaningless, unhelpful messages.

I was very keen to get away from v8.1, but will now leave it to you expert folk to sort out v10 before doing so.

Sorry about that.

If I ever upgrade to Windows 10 for everyday use, that is one thing i would have disabled, plus the other spying stuff that is built into Windows 10

What's the "everyday use" got to do with it? Isn't turning it on sufficient for it to get most stuff?

Isn't even turning off all the grabs after letting it install with them all one a bit too late for some things?

That's assuming doing the Custom Install doesn't take what it wants as a once-off before disabling the grabs.

The indispensable man or woman passes from the scene, and what happens next is more or less the same thing as was happening before.
