Strange but true!

Believe it or not - I've just returned to Win8.1!

Installed Win10 - but found that when I tried to run MS Money Plus (I know, I know) it said I needed Internet Explorer 6! Further, the password manager I've only recently installed, and was v happy with, it got fouled up by Win 10 big time.

The moral is that I shouldn't have rushed to follow the mega-strong recommendation from ComputerActive mag.

I can confirm that this fix works fine.

Did you try try using the Windows compatability settings options for the password manager?

Thanks for these comments, and I will try your suggestions 'in due course'. You guys are obviously knowledgeable, but bear in mind that MS is trying to get everyone, including noddies like me, to convert!

I was lulled into a false sense of security because not only the magazine gurus but also MS themselves had said that 'if it works in Win 8 it will work in Win10'.

Really, I'm ancient enough to know better.
