InfoBar from Sourceforge

I have been running the above program since XP days and it has been taken over by programmers at Sourceforge who promise malware free software.

Tonight I noticed on my bandwidth graph something downloading at about 48 kibits/s so opened task manager but as it was so little I could not track it down.

Next I opened Resource manager in Win 10, and it gave me the culprit - infobar.exe and it is connecting to 198.41.206.97.

I have never noticed this behaviour before just today and it appears if I switch off infobars network meter it stops. Should I be suspicious?

SourceForge is notorious nowadays for putting adware or malware on your computer. A lot of developers have withdrawn their software because of this.

Interesting. The IP given appears to be a website on the Cloudflare network but with only an IP address I cant see if or what website this is.

Thanks batty but this installer doesnt appear to have any junk in it and I have been running it long before sourceforge took it over. Question is what is this traffic and IP address and why is the network module connecting to it?

It could be tricky to find out as Cloudflare's purpose is website security. Can you block it with a firewall?

Blocked by program rule in windows firewall.
