Google Earth - walking directions

Trying to get the directions between two places. Rght click Start location and select Directions from here, right click Destination location and select Directions to here.

GE then gives me the directions by car.

Clicking on the Walking icon (or public transport or cycling icons) still gives the car directions. I cannot get it to give me anything other than car directions. It used to work, but not at the moment.

Is it me or is it GE that's broken?

Works for me. It may depend on how you're getting to GE.

Just clicking on the same icon on my desktop as I've always done. It's running as an app on my Win 10 PC rather than as an internet app.

Oh, I browse to http://maps.google.com then press the Google Earth icon if required.

Yes, that works. But as PC applications, GE - and GE Pro which I've just downloaded and installed, have the same problem.

I can't find GE or GE Pro in the MS Store in Win 10

Ah found it on Google.
Installed it.
Doesn't work as you said.
Uninstalled it.
