I am reminded of various misunderstandings people have had around wireless printers. People assume that because the printer is wireless they have to connect to it over wireless not realising that the printer connects to the router over wireless but the devices using it could connect over wireless or wired or power line or whatever. The underlying technology of the connection is irrelevant.
