Cracked it at last by doing a refresh - Help/Troubleshooting Information and then clicking on the "Refresh Firefox" link. It's a bit of a pain because it removes extensions/addons/customisation but it's worked.

Not for a long time now...Sainsbury's bought Lloyds Banking Group out of the relationship some years ago.

It's taken time to separate systems but it's now done.
