I disabled the print spooler on my machine, I have no need for it anyway, The LED printer uses Ethernet and the little photo printer uses Wi-fi, so the spooler is not used.
But yes you are right, the update is important, just a shame that Ms did not notice it before.

It's also a shame that they team who released the proof of concept never actually checked it was patched first.
