Booted brand new i7 11 Gen PC on Thursday with Win10 loaded. Once initialised it offered a Win11 update ... Not done yet but likely to do before I load all the other apps.
If you do then make a back-up of windows 10, but unless you really want to use Windows 11, I suggest you stay with 10, Explorer seems freeze far too often. i have been sorting out files on the NAS, internal and external drives and have had far too many freezes with explorer, it comes back, but still not great.
Getting very annoying as well since the send to option is buried in the right context menu.
i think MS still have a fair bit of work to do with Windows 11, and it should never have been released, but then we have seen that before with Microsoft, Windows 10 being the last one that should never have been released when it was.
it is, we will chuck it out there and try and sort out the problems after, seems to be a normal thing these days, certainly for Microsoft. No software is bug free, but there are some nasty bugs in Windows 11.
I will keep it on here until the end of the month just to see if it improves, but then Windows 10 goes back on.
