Thank you, useful as a repair/recovery tool either way, and for my test VMs.

I may dare and test this on my Surface... (it should work on MS hardware right?) smile

as far as I can tell, it's all good for updating from Windows 10, and to upgrade any Windows 11 to the latest build

It was new in 2022 and shipped with Win11, so I’m sure that’s not an issue.

Running tpm.msc shows Specification 2.0

yeah tpm 2.0 has been around for ages.

That said if you have a ryzen based system you may find a bios update for a ftpm issue.

All intel here currently, but my work laptop has a separate TPM rather than using the ftpm in the CPU.

I'd argue it's not really "official" until Microsoft announces general availability at https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/wi... .

Whilst these will almost certainly be the GA ISOs, there's always a chance of a last-minute pull.

external TPM modules has its advantages as you can update them if they are outdated. But we are only on v2
