BT Taking there sweet time!

My order progress with zen has got to waiting fot BT to set a date for activation, waiting for 2days (2 and a half now) With my other migrations this was done on the same day as the order was placed wirh zen! BT Getting slow these days?

Anyone elce got this?


(not complaining or anything! before anyone starts at me again. Just wondering)

When I moved from eclipse to Zen it took 4 working days, 1 week in total as ther was a bank holiday weekend in between.

They say a lead time of 7 working days.
So on day 8, I would contact someone.

My understading is that Zen aim for migrations to take 3 days. BTW are frequently completing migrations within 24hrs, often before the zen order system has generated logon details. Therefore I believe Zen delay placing the order on BTW to maintain a 3 day turn around.

Lets not forget that business users may well require contractors to visit site to reprogram routers / firewalls / vpn's etc, so for them same day migrations may well mean no internet too.

so why bother posting it will take as long as it takes pain and simple, there are far far more serious things to be discussed !! Like how long does paint take to dry

"Like how long does paint take to dry".... well we painted a door last weekend and it took about 19 hours to be "Touch" Dry!!! :O

you were told in a previous post by Zen Technical Support that your migration won't happen until next week.

I suspected that the reason this was mentioned by them was not only to be helpful but so that you didn't post .....

LIKE I SAID on my first post, im not bothered at how long it takes, i was just wondering why its taking BT so long to set a migration date this time. Zen said it will be done my tuesday next week. i dont have a problem with that

Cant ppl just ask simple questions in the zen forum anymore? I only get grief like this in THIS forum, where as in the rest, (free chat etc etc) thing are fine.

Maybe if people didn't change ISP's every few days BT wouldn't be so busy and migrations wouldn't take so long

lol.. im cool... just getting fed up of all this "hostility" thats about here at the moment. I suppose i did lose my rag a wee bit, but still... Other members here may be quite happy to put up with any giref that other members give them but im not.
