Using wget to download pictures directly it just freezes at whatever percent
$ wget --proxy=off http://i5.ebayimg.com/02/i/000/ac/90/afd9_1.JPG

but using a slow proxy in china i think then it works every time

=> `afd9_1.JPG.1'

If I continually retry loading the picture it will eventually load.
