Wow 10 years. Thank you very much!
As for that mug, if you PM me your account details I'm sure we can sort something out.

I'm getting close to 12.5 years with Zen. I was connected to:
Home 1000 from 28/09/2004
Home 2000 from 18/05/2005
Home 8000 Pro from 26/01/2007
21CN migration on 06/05/2011
Zen Pro (ADSL 2+) from 10/05/2011
Zen Fibre Active from 08/01/2013
Unlimited Fibre 2 from 20/09/2013
Moved to Zen backhaul on 01/10/2014
Line Rental Plus from 28/10/2014 (previously voice was with BT Retail)
That makes it 12.39 years and counting.

But do you have a mug?
|
|

According to the portal: Service started 30/07/2004
Mug Status: None
Happy with service despite Openreach being sh...: Yes
ISP: Zen, getting around 6mb down - .8mb up
Exchange is Fibre enabled, Cab not economically viable to upgrade - though hanging on the carrot being dangled - 'There are projects to be initiated in 2017, however, we do not have a particular timescale at this moment.'
Stechford (CMSTE) Cab 50 - small cabinet of fail

Feeling a bit sMUG myself as I've been with Zen longer (among many others) and do have a Zen Mug - actually I have 2 - one of which was a rare edition.

|

But do you have a mug? Yes - I have a Zen mug already.
|
|
|
If you PM me your details I'll see if we can arrange a mug.

What the poor old staff going to drink out of?
|
|
|
Don't worry I'll be sending out new limited edition mugs.
Staff will have to get by with the standard old ones.

But do you have a mug? Yes - I have a Zen mug already.
It turns out that I have a different mug to the pictured ones; mine is white, cylindrical and has a green Zen logo on it. Worse still, I can't find it, so I think someone has taken it.

My order date was December 2002 so almost as long ago. It really doesn't seem like nearly 15 years!
Mug status: Damaged by a relative in a washing-up related accident many years ago. No longer usable as a mug it is now a pen holder on my desk.
Any chance of a replacement drinking vessel, please?

Let me guess: the handle came off?

Zen 512kbps ADSL service started on 27th January 2004, so just over 13 years.
My exchange was late to move to ADSL, hence was on Vispa ISDN dial up to this point.
Service migrated to 21CN in 2011
ADSL Max in 2014 on the same long piece of copper.
ADSL2+ for a few years, but usually doesnt manage to use the 2+ frequencies much.
Move to FTTC shortly, looking forward to the new speeds once the upgrade is up and running. Currently ADSL2+ runs around 3300 / 1000kbps
Will PM for a Zen mug, closer to when I am back in the UK from this business trip.

Monday, 10th April 2006.
From and including: Monday, 10 April 2006
To and including: Friday, 24 February 2017
Result: 3974 days
It is 3974 days from the start date to the end date, end date included
Or 10 years, 10 months, 15 days including the end date
Alternative time units
3974 days can be converted to one of these units:
343,353,600 seconds
5,722,560 minutes
95,376 hours
3974 days
567 weeks and 5 days
1088.77% of a common year (365 days)
So just short of 11 years. The best ISP I've ever been with. I don't need a mug, just saying
ZeN Unlimited Fibre 1

Time flies, I have also been with Zen for nearly 12 years started in 2005 and to be quite honest the service compared to what I had from BT before has been exemplary, all questions and there have not been many have been answered quickly and efficiently..
I also started on 512K and then onto 2m and when I moved went to 8m now on ADSL2+ with between 19-22.5 most of the time with a stable connection that stays up for weeks and is only interrupted it seems when Openreach are in the local exchange(very small rural exchange).
I have no complaints about Zen customer service, as a ex customer service manager for a large organisation I am more critical than most.
Mug who said anything about mugs!!

This thread has spurred me into looking back at my Zen history and it would appear I've been with Zen non-stop since June 2003. That's a bit of a shock!
(and no mug either)
|
|
|
I ordered the first ADSL service as soon as it went live locally around 15-Jun-2005, service started on 23rd June 2005 (my birthday too!) and still no mug.
I almost got one in 2010 but it never arrived. Not sure if it got lost, or Leo saw something shiny on the way to the outbox. I keep the PM as a cruel reminder!

This thread also prompted me to have a look at my history. Started with Zen in April 2003 as soon as broadband was available to me, went with Zen due to a friend's recommendations.
Started on ADSL (I forget the initial speed) then onto an 8Mbps service (getting around 6-7) and then last year up to 80/20 FTTC, getting around 76Mbps download as cabinet very close by, and switched over my phone from BT at the same time.
I've not had to call on tech support too many times, but when I have I've found them efficient, knowledgable and certainly not reading from a script! One phone call has usually sorted out any minor issues. I've found the connection has been very reliable and stable, my main reason for going with Zen in the first place.
My most recent contact with Zen was regarding single thread congestion and was solved very quickly after contacting Jon Green on here.
So for me it's been 14 years, but no mug!
