Connect to wireless display

[link to this post]

I used to use the standard "connect to wireless display" option in windows 10 to duplicate my laptop display to the Samsung TV. This worked fine until I switched over to Zen using their standard Fritzbox router.

Since then, my laptop cannot see my TV listed so I cannot connect to it. To prove the zen router is the cause I have connected both TV and laptop to my phone internet. The TV then shows up on the laptop fine and connects successfully.

I think we can assume the router is perhaps blocking the connection some how but the logs show nothing of the sort.

Has anyone seen and resolved this issue?

I don 't do Windows so FWIW... Does this rely on the TV & PC being on the same WiFi? First place I'd look is in the FritzBox to see if the telly is connected. Maybe it needs a password? In the FritzBox look in Home Network -> Network to see a list of connected devices.

[Edit: typo]

Please double-check the option "The active wireless devices displayed below may communicate with each other" under "Wi-Fi > Security" in the Fritz!Box user interface.
