Zen up and down like a yo-yo?

Is it just me or is Zen up and down like a yo-yo?

I'm thinking maybe something is messed up locally - in warwickshire - where we've just had a huge storm, including a twister... ?

It seems to go down and up sometimes up to twice a minute, but the phone is fine, just had a 25 minute call from the US and was fine...

Possibly. Or, more likely, something local as you suggest.

Probably a local problem as I also did have some issues earlier with the router re-syncing frequently during a thunderstorm causing my SNR to drop to 5db but now the connection is stable again.

There have been a lot of problems in the South due to Telehouse problems http://www.theregister.co.uk/2006/08/17/telehouse_power_problems/

However, since the bad weather my connection has been speed erratic compared to usual, where last night around 7pm, I suddenly got switched to 1Kbps broadband (download speed), whilst still syncing at full MaxDsl rates.
After going through the how to Pi** the customer off rights of passage game, the checklist was checked and a fault reported. A few hours later the fault at the exchange (where I was sure 95% it was) was fixed.

Hopefully when I move again I'll be able to get cable, this ADSL retrospective technology is a waste of space.

I seem to be fine too. Currently connected for about 196 hours (since I came back from holiday) and still going strong .
