Ok i moved from Nildram 7 days ago and so far my zen experience has not been that great. I know there is a 10 day period when, on MAXDSL, you connection is poor, but i feel at this point im not going to be getting any better speeds than im currently getting.

My 1st day with Zen i was connecting at 8.0Mbps(pc lan connection icon showing this) speed tests ran at 6.5Mbps and ping was a steady 50ms to most games. These figures were on par with Nildram, im thinking brilliant same speeds/ping etc..., but without the constant disconnections i was getting on Nildram.

Day 2 and onwards on Zen, ping goes upto over 120ms, speeds tests drop to MAX 1.8Mbps, but the pc lan icon still says 8.0Mbps. Im not the most technical person in the world and i dont know much about the inner workings of ADSL, but something to me is not right.

Connecting at 8Mbps and getting less than 2Mbps speeds shows red to me.

I will wait till my 10day cooling period is over and see, but in all honesty i cannot see me paying for this type of connection if it doesnt improve.

You will have to wait until the 10 day training period is over before you can ascertain whether it's working properly or not. My lines were all over the place for the first 10 days, but things gradually settled down.
