I've only once signed up with an ISP for more than a month at a time - and bitterly regretted it. It's the one thing I've vowed never, ever to do again. Well, maybe three months but absolutely no longer.

Do you really think that a company that ties you into an 18-month contract has nothing to hide ?

I suggest you lurk in the Orange forum for a while !

then again maybe his/her demands are not that critical. I have to say I don`t crave top speeds 24/7 myself nor any of the extras that maybe included with 'premium' services. Horses for courses but at the end of the day, it is only the internet and for some an added luxury !

I'd still rather not be tied to an 18 month contract as Zebedee says.

If it's a luxuary and not critical surely it's even more important that you can cancel when things are tight?

I wont say out of the pan into the fire but I will quote one of your lines.
To good to be true.
There is a saying, 'If something sounds too good to be true, It is.'
I hope it all goes well for you though.

Like the other poster said why do they have to tie you into an 18month package. Thats what TalkTalk did and most people know the quailty of what they offer.
