Technical Details for Router

[link to this post]

As I don't have my original email for my router settings does anyone know where I can get hold of all the router settings for Zen?

I don;t use a router supported by Zen so I just need general settings that you could put into any router. I looked in the portal and that gives the basic like DNS etc but I need all the other bits.

Where do I get it?

Thanks.

Your technical details (username, password, IP address etc.) are all available via the portal.

Log on, select "My Orders" etc. as you would for checking your download usage, then select "Technical Details" from the drop-down menu.

Everything that you require should be available via the Customer Portal.
Usually you only need to set the router up with the most basic information. As all IP's and DNS's are statically assigned to routers, you don't need to specify these and leave the routers to assign the same ones dynamically.

Just seen your new post:

VPI = 0
VPI = 38
Encapsulation = VC Mux
Type = PPPoA

Are you using RIP? It's not necessary for a single router. VC stuff for ADSL is standard in the UK, VPI=0 and VCI=38. Encapsulation is PPPoA (PPP over ATM) and multiplexing is VC-based.

Normally DNS, IP etc. are allocated automatically so no need to set them up.

If you want anything more specific, you'll need to say what router make/model you have.
