Upgrade from Active to Pro

[link to this post]

A couple of questions regarding upgrading from Zen 8000 Active to Zen 8000 Pro via the customer portal...

1) How long does it take for the upgrade to happen? and
2) Does my static IP address change?

1) About two days as I recall. Certainly when I regraded from Home1000 to 8000 Active (not quite the same thing I know) it was less than two working days; I ordered Friday afternoon and the activation was Monday midnight.

2) No, your IP remains the same.

You were right, the wizard stated it would be activated on the 28th,
but...

"The wizard has failed to complete successfully."

"Sorry, the sales order process has failed. Your account has NOT been charged. We apologise for this error and any inconvienience caused.
The appropriate team have been notified of this error and it should be resolved shortly. Please try again later. [Status Code: 0]."

Oh well, may as well wait until the end of the month and just live with the 20 Gig service.

You could try again. I've had occasional errors like that but retrying the particular process seems to work.

What browser? I know the previous portal didn't like Internet Explorer 6

Try one last time using a different browser, and if it works with a different one then submit a bug report to the 'web chappies'

Sorry you've encountered this problem. We've got people looking at the cause.

Their is a known error with the summary screen on IE6 which will be fixed in a release tomorrow.

The above post has been made by an ISP REPRESENTATIVE (although not necessarily the ISP being discussed in the post).

Apologies to anyone who has seen this error. There was an issue on the wizard which has now been resolved. This was not showing up during our testing phase.

Regrade orders should now be accepted via the wizard.

Thanks
