I am starting this new thread to highlight better, the news that we have today announced our usage allowances are being doubled accross a number of Zen Broadband Products.

Please refer to the Zen website for full details here:

Gary,

That is excellent news, roll on 1st June!

What makes it even better is that our Zen circuit was activated on 29 April 2003, so this is like a 'thank you' for 7 years of happy custom smile - Long may it continue...

Excellent news Gary, a good decision indeed, I can recommend the Lite package to many more people now through the revised allowances smile

By eck, from June 1st for £17.99 a customer will now be able to transfer a whopping 10GB of data.

Can someone explain how that is a better deal that the one I'm on - I'd love to come back to Zen. I currently get the measly amount of unlimited transfers for the extortionate price of £7.50.

50gig a month is enough for us so I figure I may as well regrade from pro to active. Am I right in thinking that if I request a downgrade now I won't be regraded until 1st June? (just right for the package change)

I believe regrades happen on your billing date, whatever that is... whereas usage runs on calendar months...

Hmm. I'm billed on the last day of every month anyway

When I downgraded from Office to Pro after changing to 21CN, the change happened immediately (to my slight surprise).

Well done Zen!

From a personal perspective it doesn't affect me as my average monthly download is just under 15Gb. I only once breached the limit (when it was 20Gb) and I had to buy and extra 1Gb, of which I only used 23Mb. Now I have no chance of eating into my download 'bank'. That said, it's nice to see some movement on the product offerings from Zen. If only the Lite product had a 20Gb limit, then I could reduce my costs wink

Fingers crossed that my migration to 'up to 20Mbps' goes smoothly next week (although I don't expect much improvement over my current 4Mbps profile).
