Blame BT Openreach. 12 months minimum at the moment.
Yeah I gathered that much due to this is the shortest min term offered by the smaller isp's like ADSL24 .AAISP ect
No doubt within the next year or so those that want a short term contract should be able to order just that, Then it may start to look more appealing to me, Unless the begin to offer various options to isp's so they can make changes to the line config on a individual level if required (for problem lines) So that the customer always gets the most from their connection,

Aye sorry. Force of habit.

OpenReach supply the Fibre Modem and the customer supplies a Router that does a PPPoE connection (or a PC.)

Re: Avoiding Fibre Install Offer? (UPDATE)

[re: deleted] [link to this post]

In case it helps, yesterday I used the portal to update to fibre and that gives you the option to choose either a free install and router on a 24-month contract or a paid-for install on a 12-month contract.

Yes, you can still order 8IP's however we now ask for justification for Regrading to 8. If you have 8 IP's at the moment then you will be able to keep the 8.

All the best,

Excellent. smile

All I need now is for BT to provide FTTC on the exchange. (According to Sam Knows, It is scheduled for 2013).

Worth noting, Support/CS are closed on Bank Holidays - including Boxing Day - hence the delay in a response. smile
