Thanks Leo, I hope you have a peaceful evening after what was probably a stressful day! smile

This outage is very unusual for Zen (speaking as a long time customer) so it would be good to hear what happened, or at least what you can tell us about it. Hopefully it's not the sort of thing that is likely to re-occur in future. I appreciate you might not be able to divulge the details if it was a problem with your supplier's fibre but anything you can tell us would be interesting to hear.

Many thanks,
Craig.

According to Zen's website it looks like it was a break in the fibre at the Manchester POP.
So glad it is all back to normal.

There was a fibre break outside of the POP. We are still investigating why the circuits did not fail over as they should have done. That would have stopped a lot of todays issues.

My router was 'up' but the ADSL wasn't. It kept trying to connect though and all lights were green.
I re-booted the router at 2 and 3 hour intervals and then I kept checking the router stats and it was always showing a brief period of connectivity ranging between seconds and a few minutes: sometimes 'connected' others ''connect', then it showed as 'down' late afternoon. I clicked on connect and was very surprised that it immediately did! Brilliant.

After checking everything this morning, I did ring tech services and eventually got through - very patient and explained all that they knew at that time.
Was so glad to have it back! smile
