Hi, your account doesn't accept private messages. Could you send me your contact details in a PM?

Cheer, Bran.

GEA migration aside, is it possible to also investigate the disparity between the manchester and london gateways? The latency is quite a difference. Or is there nothing that can be done about that?

At present the gateway is purely based on whichever gateway responds fastest to the pppoe initialisation request from the CPE. We are making a change soon which will make this more deterministic and you'll generally (non fault conditions) be connected to a BNG pool closer to your location.

Thanks. That would be a welcome improvement.

ps) For me based in South Glos on the Almondsbury headend exchange and recently GEA migrated, I actually think the service is lower latency if I get on to the london gateway than it was prior to being migrated. It seems to have improved the connection. I don't know if that's possible or i'm imagining it.

Is anyone that is impacted by slow speed issues following a migration to Zen On net within an hours or so's drive of Manchester? If you are and would be willing to host an engineer from our Network team for a hour or two in the next day or too, could you drop me a message?

Cheers,
Brandon.

Hi Brandon - sending you a message now as I'm basically just outside Chester which isn't too far from Manchester
