Well this could be fun.

Tomorrow morning a Zen network engineer and an Openreach engineer are both going to be here.

Best get the kettle on. Also popcorn? 😁
I'm not sure if you meant to reply to my post about the cables, or just replied to the latest post. But it was a reply to Steve Bushell. (Remember this forum has a threaded system linking post and reply smile).

I haven't thought much about your problem, sorry.

Maybe they think they've found the problem and need a few days to confirm and fix. So no point in sending people out. Particularly network ones.

Would have been nice if they had given you a reason when they delayed the diagnostic visit, it would have certainly prevented any negative comments resurfacing on here about the issue.

Sadly one step forward and two steps back in the pursuit of good customer service frown

Working in IT myself, sudden unexpected site visits can be delayed for all sorts of reasons. I'm not looking into it too much

Very true but in this instance you don't know what that reason is as no one has bothered to tell you why, personally I don't like being kept in the dark but clearly not everyone is the same.

Nobody likes to be in an information vacuum, I do accept that this sort of a problem can be very hard to isolate, and then to fix, but we reported this quite a time ago, and there is no real update (aside from we will send someone out..... sometime). For my part, my internet speed is down at less than 50% of what I pay for for the past 2 1/2 weeks, which is inconvenient to say the least as my job is performance testing IT systems.

I am waiting to see what eventually transpires, but it does seem to be dragging on with little update as to what is happening.

No ISP likes bad publicity and thats exactly what is happening through this thread, they know this site is highly read even if people don't post and when people are looking at changing ISP they remember these sorts of problems as no one wants to move and have a protracted issue like this.

If some members here who have the issue are OK to wait an extra week to then maybe get someone round to investigate then thats fine but I would have liked to know why they was delaying it. Zen may think they know what the issue is or may be just putting it on the back burner for a week. No one knows and thats the problem.
