Re: Slow speed after GEA migration

Need to run W natively on the apple hardware using Bootcamp

I know! I have built a windows 10 box on an i7 Mac mini, so the capability is there, but I need to work out PPPOE under Windows (I HATE Windoze!)

Think it may end up as a moot point, but my migration is now 11 hours old, and still not complete, so maybe....

My migration took 2 weeks so you might be waiting a while. Have a look on your order history and see how long yours took to complete

Highly variable then. Maybe Openreach do them in batches?

We can but speculate.

OH DEAR !!!

Just tried my i7 BootCamp Mac running windows 10 on PPPOE..... It is showing 500 down and 70 up
The un-migration is still shown as in progress
I retried the Fritz!Box and it is still useless

My confidence has just taken a BIG dent

...Hmmm. Had a sneaking suspicion this may turn out.

ONT faults are exceptionally rare (thankfully) - but did they ever swap yours out?

I'm just building a few router / firewall solutions based on my Mac hardware, but it's really time consuming.... Smoothewall is the latest I am trying

Perhaps not such a crazy idea to have it swapped it for a fresh one.

When Zen came to visit did they indicate if any other customers are experiencing your specific fault?

Best wait for the un-migration to be completed else you're going to tie yourself up in knots which may prove to be unnecessary.
