CityFiber / Zen on-boarding

Hi All,

Any one know what the deal is with Zen / CityFibre and taking on new areas?

CityFibre have been working on the role out in my area for the last year or so and finally went live last month!
Excellent I thought ill pop on Zens site and see what deals they are offering as I have vdsl with them already.
Only to find out Zen are not offering FTTP to me yet, I checked the CityFibre site they say I can have service through a list of ISP's but Zen is not on there.

I mailed CityFibre and Zen, both say no!

It was my understanding that CityFibre were Zens partner for FTTP. Any ideas what's happing here?

Zen probably haven’t interconnected in that location yet for some reason. Is the local exchange one Zen have unbundled?

No, Zen have not unbundled our BTOR Exchange.

Such a shame companies are secretive about when they are going to do things! An idea of "next month" "next year" would be a start.
I guess at worst BTOR said they will start the role-out of their sucky version of FTTP in 2025 so by 2026 I should be able to upgrade from my 23M vdsl

I don't believe Zen are nationally provisioning CityFibre at the moment.

Was going to use Zen for my CityFibre connection when I'm ready, but with various issues with Zen I've read on here recently, I'm now not so sure.

Thinking of going for Nobody or Octoplus as I have a penchant for smaller ISPs

Just a quick update from me, I got an update from Zen, they have ordered an interconnect from my CF FEX to their local exchange point, its just talking a long time for it to be built. it would be nice if this kind of information was more readily available but for now ill wait (Probably

Thanks for the update. How did you get that info from them? I'm at the point of switching to Giganet to get FTTP as I'm fed up with Zen stonewalling me on info!
