Ordered...

[link to this post]

I'm on my way. Downside is I have to wait 1 week to be switched from Yayzi to Zen tongue

I asked Yayzi about some issues with my connection that where supposed to have been fixed and also asked about leaving early, The only thing they said was "30 days notice to cancel"

0% interest in looking into the issues to try and keep me as a customer so I have 0% interest in hanging about.

Its been a fun 11 months Yayzi but toodles!

Sadly it seems to be similar across various ISP's when things go wrong. Good luck with Zen.
Poor performing ISP's need to be brought to account.

Where is "Here", i.e. where did you see that message?

Is this an installation of Openreach FTTP?

For OR, KCI-1 is order acknowledgement, and they can reject the order at this point. It might indicate an inconsistency in the database, because presumably the property was shown as FTTP available in the availability checker. Or it might mean Zen omitted some essential information from the order they placed.

In my experience, once an order is accepted by the system it's usually pushed through to completion even if extra engineering working work is required. It could mean a delay of weeks or months though, depending on what exactly the issue is (e.g. do they need to apply for a permit from the council for permission to dig the road or pavement)

But really, you shouldn't be asking here, you should be asking your service provider what this means for your installation date and what they're going to do about it. It might mean they just need to adjust some data and resubmit the order to OR, or they might need to get OR to explain why the order failed. You may find yourself getting compensation if the originally agreed activation date slips.

I thought the OP was on CityFibre not Openreach but what you're saying makes a lot of sense as always.

Sorry, Missed a bit.

This is on the Zen order tracker. This is a ISP migration from Yayzi (City Fibre) to Zen (City Fibre)

I'd perhaps talk to Zen and ask why its failed, have Yayzi blocked the switch?

Something that CityFibre really appear to (still) struggle with are migrations from one ISP to another ISP on their own network.

It's not a patch on Openreach (no pun) when it comes to moving supplier. They need to try harder.

When I've switched suppliers the "sorry you are leaving" type emails have started to arrive from the loosing ISP almost as quick as the order confirmation from the new one.
Anyhow, I'll leave you to it and hope that Zen resolve all your problems. Good luck wink
