Zen email

I believe Zen offer an email service to their subscribers. OK, this would (obvs) not be ISP independent so the appropriate caveats would apply, but can anyone tell me how much it costs?

To be clear I'm assuming they do an ISP based email service for subscribers, rather than their hosting and domain registration service.

Zen don't do an inclusive email service for new subscribers anymore, think it stopped a few years back. Older customers do have email included.
If a new customer then to use email via Zen you'd need to look at a business or hosted package.

Adding to the advice already given, I am getting frustrated with Zen's legacy email service for home users.
It's basically a POP service and the servers are occasionally getting blocked by Microsoft for their incoming email service.

I also cannot get their email service to function on the Outlook App despite following the guidelines offered for using POP servers

I wouldn't be surprised if email for home users would eventually be withdrawn for all as other ISPs have previously enacted.

The recommendation is to always keep your email service separate from your ISP.

I use Outlook email client and have had problems sending and receiving emails on my Zen account. Most days no incoming emails are received and then other days several emails arrive at once.. I have downloaded a version of Mozilla and that receives emails regularly.
As others have said Zen no longer offer email service to new subscribers. If you access your customer portal and can see your email address and aliases then you may still be able to use this service, but what Zen's intentions are for this service in future, who knows?

Thanks for the reply. I wasn't sure whether Zen were still doing consumer email, but for now they're only doing hosting and domain reg.

I was asking for a relative who's moving to Zen and will need to redo all her accounts and notify anywhere she's used an email address. That will include her Apple account which promises another level of grief.....

I have my own hosted domain with Clook and have done for some years: https://www.clook.net/. Highly recommended.

Not much progress with the server blocking by Microsoft.

A major inconvenience not being able to send to recipients at Outlook, Hotmail, etc.
