I HAVE been a customer , though I told TT to shove it after 5 days of clueless incompetence , so I have undergone the talk talk "experience".
Wow a customer for a full 5 days.
then so be it and your neverending whingeing like a little girl wont change it one bit.
I am beginning to wonder if the 8 at the end of your user name is your age.

And there we have it in a nutshell you had a problem and it wasn't sorted by phone support, I am guessing there were no OCE's at that time in the TT forum (if the forum existed then) and in frustration you left, things have moved on as the customers here keep telling you but you seem hell bent on trying to prove things haven't by constantly referring to the problems you had, what year was this ?

i think the post in the members forum that i pasted in my true story thread suggests completely that it indeed has not and TT still suck every bit as badly as the 5 days of hell i stayed with them.
for goodness sake take off the blinkers , there are SO many TT users who wish they had never been conned into signing up by lying sales staff and are shackled into 18 month contracts.

Ooops , you seem to of done it again , yep you forgot about the millions of customers that are happy with the service .
That's kind of a big forget , but when your life is full of so much unfounded hate i guess 4.2 million is a easy number to forget . Guess that's why they call it blind hate .
Go mow a lawn , you will find it a much better use of your time , well better than reading through TalkTalk members support forum .

I HAVE been a customer , though I told TT to shove it after 5 days of clueless incompetence , so I have undergone the talk talk "experience". You cant build a stonewall around people and not let them them have their say, if he thinks talk talk sucks, then so be it and your neverending whingeing like a little girl wont change it one bit.
A customer of this ISP for 5 days and you are all over this forum like a rash. Your experience with this ISP is hardly vast so I cannot understand why you are so disparaging of those who have vastly more experience than you who found the service satisfactory, there is no justification to be so rude.
Your input seems way out of proportion to your experience. Generally our forums reflect the state of an ISP and where it is poor posters find us to say so. It does not need those who are unhappy to constantly keep posting nor in fact any member to constantly praise their ISP other than to provide information to a fellow member who may ask for your experience,
The OP's question was about a MAC so members should respond to that.

Things have improved? Sheesh. It's now been three weeks since my Dad started trying to get a MAC out of TalkTalk.
He spent another hour on Friday waiting to speak someone to find out why it still hadn't turned up. Eventually he gave up waiting.
The question he posed on the forum on Saturday still hasn't had an official response.
It's appalling. You'd have to be living in la-la land to defend TalkTalk's customer service. I don't think I've ever encountered a more inept and lackadaisical operation. It's like one of those horror stories you hear about on TV of the company that refuses to communicate with its customers. Maybe we need to hire a private investigator to track down their CEO and hound him with awkward questions?
My parents are pensioners and are now being forced to pay £10pcm more than they need to. Talk Talk CS is an inexcusable disgrace.

My congratulations to Sadoldman on your interventions on this forum. Like many people I look to the forums for useful comments and information, but get very dismayed by the few who do not contribute much of use but dominate with pointless sniping.
I am not against negative comments on Talk Talk provided they are constructive. I am currently checking the threads because my parents have lost their Internet connection with Pipex. As Talk Talk own Pipex and I suspect they have been affected as a result of action by Pipex/Talk Talk. I was hoping that other people who have experienced similar problems could provide practical advice. Unfortunately I have found very little useful advise!

The OCE's dont work weekends and I dont think they were all in on bank holiday Monday, they will have had a lot to go through on Tuesday to catch up so I imagine you will not be the only one who didn't get a reply, this is obviously frustrating for you but no one is perfect.
Did you bump the thread after 5 p.m. ?
