Please don't go to TT. They are so much trouble. OK it looks cheap but how much is your health worth? If they drive you to a nervous breakdown or a heart attack, will saving a couple of quid a month pay your mortgage while you are in hospital?

Go to Zen, BE, O2, Plusnet and save your sanity.

When I tried to join it all went wrong for me, it took 6 weeks to finally get the order moving. Once you get to that stage and can join the TTM forums it is plain sailing.

You just need to be really lucky and get someone on the phone who knows what they are on about.

They told me many times over many calls that my order was ok, that my order was being processed, that my order had got lost, that my order could not be found, that my order had been confirmed, that my order had been cancelled.

Then one day I got someone on the phone who actually knew what they were on about and fixed everything and a week later I was signed up.

Note that they record the calls you make to TT (they fixed problems with my account by listening to recorded conversations between me and TT operators which proved I was telling the truth) so if you do talk to them on the phone take note of the date.

Just got to keep at them.

Don't forget that talk talk tend to fully LLU customers (phone & adsl) and this can be problematic and can incur costs or being roped into a new contract with bt should you go back to bt, as should it go t*t's up no other isp can provide you service whilst connected to tt's equipment as a active btw line is required,
personally i would not go there, but the choice is yours

It can work out Ok sometimes, not all bad-news stories.

I know someone just joined them, more than doubled their up/down speeds, very pleased.

but joining can sometimes be difficult
They seem to put orders on hold or cancel them for various reasons, usually without informing what the reason is.
One of the reasons is exchange being 'Live' but maybe not having enough capacity.

You can check your exchange via these tt links
the speed they suggest can sometimes be better.

look for the green tick, the 'Live' status, & any possible comments against that exchange.

Hi webb, if you think you have problems joining TT spend a day exploring this forum and be thankful you're not trying to escape FROM them. When it works it's fine but when it doesn't ... have another look at your first reply
