Password deleton

[link to this post]

have an administrator account on my PC. I recently added a password to the account, so I have to log in at start-up.

I want to delete the password requirement, so that it just loads at start-up. I know that i can change the password in Control Panel/User Accounts, but how do i remove it altogether?.

One way would be to use that account to create another admin account. Then login as that and delete the oriinal account then recreate it with the same name but with no password. Finally use the original account to delete the temporary one.

Go to the change password screen and leave the new password fields blank. Then put in the old password and it should remove it.

In both XP and Vista there is an option to remove the password in Control Panel > Users > Account name
