Not sure, are you with AAISP and thinking about joining Plusnet after you move or already with Plusnet, if so why not just start a thread in the Community Forum?
I must say I've had the odd 20 minute wait in the past but never been cut off. Could it be something to do with your phone?
I look after my daughter's account and when she moved house it all went very smoothly and without any hitch.

How are you trying access chat?
If you have gone through Help & Support (e.g. from the from the Moving home or office page) it is always not available (24x7). It is a bug that has existed for months and Plusnet seem totally unfazed by the idea that some customers might have trouble contacting them so fixing the bug hasn't been a priority.
Go through Contact Us (https://www.plus.net/home-broadband/contact/residential/customer-services/), Account & billing, My question isn't listed and you should be able to access chat.
But if I were you I'd take this all as a sign and look at alternatives (have a read of why I moved from Plusnet to AAISP).

Well I just put in a request to leave them so lets see if they get in touch! You mean within a minimum term, and you want to be released from it? Or you are just after a better deal, in which case you simply contact the Customer Options Team. If it still exists.
To migrate outside a minimum term contract you don't contact the losing ISP at all.
My broadband basic info/help site - www.robertos.me.uk. Domains, site and mail hosting - Tsohost.
Connection - AAISP Home::1 80/20. 200GB. Sync 76102/14089Kbps @ 600m. BQMs - IPv4 & IPv6

I've finally made the leap to AAISP now they have 1 month contracts, I don't intend to contact Plusnet I was wondering if someone would contact me, I am about 10 months into my contract but I don't really care for them anymore!

They're not allowed to contact you apart from telling you somebody is taking over the service and what you owe them!
Your comments on this forum rank alongside those of adslmax.

Unless he too was Cambridge educated then I am definitely not adslmax, I live no where near Telford (which is well documented as his town of residence) and my name is different to his. Can you not tell by my grammar and the way I put a sentence together? Even I struggle to understand his rants sometimes.
Thank you for the information. I have made an extra payment to cover the amount I owe anyway.

Also I am only posting on this occasion because of the ruthless blocking they have started to do in the stupid name of Football, adslmax complains about everything, from the price to the speed to the direction the wind is blowing at the time of his internet usage.
I don't have time for any of that. I am very happy with my ISP's in general.

because of the ruthless blocking
Whats that? Do you have a link?

No it's one word. What Swiftkey decides to do is it's own doing. My point was I am not adslmax, no need to get petty over it

Do you want me to link to EVERY high court order which they have to act on? To me that is ruthless blocking as many legal sites have also fell foul to ISP's getting it wrong. So I want an ISP who does not block anything - and is dead set against it. Hence my switch to AAISP
90% of IPTV services, legal or not - get blocked by the ISP's when there are premier league football matches on, again another court order. It's funny how for us it's when NowTV and IPTV has trouble. Fine the rest of the time.
|
|
|
NOTE: If an ISP is served with a court order and refuses to act it will find itself in court.
Interested in hearing more on which legal TV services are blocked by court order.
As for NOWTV don't see how that fits in, unless you are suggesting there are court orders in place blocking some shows? Which is very different to a rights holder saying something is not allowed to be available via catch-up, but can go out as live.

You're the one claiming a Cambridge education but make a grammatical error in the next sentence.
The comparison stands, you're as believable as adslmax.

I didn't say legal services were being blocked by a court order - however for some reason Plusnet block a few such as NowTV (on my line anyway) when the EPL games are on - Either that or the NOWTv service go down at the same time as IPTV and other not so legal services.
That said - IPTV is a copyright issue and is not in itself illegal. Only a sharer on P2P can be prosecuted - No one has ever been done for watching KODI - it was the people selling and distributing KODI that were.
The DEA seems to target pirates and then only the big ones - if the media and their own website is to be believed.
Anyway the whole point of my post is that some legal services are being blocked, obviously wrongly by my ISP so I am moving to one that does not -
AS for your point about an ISP in court etc - AAISP does not even block pirate bay - so should they have their day?

"90% of IPTV services, legal or not - get blocked by the ISP's when there are premier league football matches on"
Maybe I have misread what you said, but I took legal or not to refer to both legal and copyright infringing sites both being blocked.
I think if NOWTV was being blocked ISP wide whenever a EPL game was on people might notice, maybe its just you.
The Pirate Bay orders are served to specific ISPs so if AAISP was added to one of those then you would find out your answer, as what they would do when presented with a court order.

Nobody's been prosecuted for distributing KODI as its open source software you can download. They were prosecuted for "making available unlicensed content" which is quite different.

indeed, thats what I meant - Not many people think of Kodi as just software - it's always thought of with all the channels.
I know you can't get done for just the software - not stupid.

Which was the number 1 thing people used to say to me when I worked there and did nights - the convenience of anytime help. Had some good chats with people on nights - and earned some fairly good money
BT are 24/7 and Plusnet were but BT killed it to probably save money.
The mind boggles.
