I phoned up PN to renewal my contract and they will matched Vodaphone superfast 2 £20.95 inc line rental with 24 months for PN unlimited fibre extra 80/20 with line only. I will get the price cheaper at £10.95 for the remaining of 2 years with referral scheme £10 (8 customers)
Can't fault PN with my excellent 80/20 since 2014

As usual it's hard to believe you.
Two days ago you posted this on the PN forum
I have phoned up PN yesterday to cancel my offer with 2 years deal within 14 days cooling off period. I don't like long term contract. I will start to look for other ISP for G.fast 160/30 to migrate over soon.

That was cancel now. Staying with PN as G.fast is far too expensive. FTTC 80/20 at £10.95 for two years. Hopefully FTTP will be available in two years time!

Well done. PN point-blank refused to match Vodafone when I asked - so I've just moved to Vodafone instead. Goes live on Tuesday.
I assume you also have a Vodafone phone contract to get them to offer 80/20 at £20.95.

PN did refused to match vodafone but I call back next day and they matched it! You have to keep trying! Some sales staff are miserable but some staff are nicely and willing to match it. I would avoid vondafone if I were you. I heard vodafone are very bad network worse than plusnet network.

Yep, PN matched vodafone £20.95 including line rental for 2 years. But I got referral scheme of £10 discounts as well so I just pay £10.95 for two years fixed price.

If you think Plusnet is bad then why did you stay with them, even for a cheap deal? You said vodafone is worse than Plusnet, so you are more or less saying that plusnet is bad.

I moved from Vodafone FTTC 40/10 to Plusnet FTTC 40/10. The quality of broadband service is very similar. What I do when the contract expires in a few more months will depend on the price that each offers.

The Plusnet internet product is very good. Probably amongst the best as long as you don't want FTTP or IPv6.
Their CS and accounts department very ropey. You cross your fingers and hope you don't need them.
My broadband basic info/help site - www.robertos.me.uk. Domains, sites and mail hosting - Tsohost & Ionos.
Connection - Three B311 4G, tbb tests normally 35-45Mpbs down, 65Mbps off-peak, 9-24 up. 1+ 8 Pro max 80Mbps down, 24Mbps up.

I agree as I have no issues with Plusnet FTTC 80/20 since 2014 only got hit by banded on the line once (due to multi powercuts) but PN has sort it out with remote resetted DLM to get back to 80/20 and stay there ever since).
The only different is many isp's do have similar FTTC to Plusnet but PN are on a speed profile by default on DLM for speed/gamer quality with low ping. Most isp are on standard or stable profile.
As for Customer Service, I have no problem raise PM to one of the staff on PN forum as he always reply within few hours rather than PN support ticket which take longer than 5 days or never reply.

They have been pretty good for me to be honest, they even got open reach out to try to sort out a problem I had sadly Open reach had no idea what caused it, I could still access the net, but I had to buy a Huawei modem from ebay to do so, Plusnet sent me a Zyxel router to try to solve the problem, while it did for a couple of days, it too failed to connect.
Now everything is fine, so Openreach must have done something at the cabinet, my zyxel is now connecting fine, I presume my original Plusnet router will as well, but i have not tried it.
I have had no problem with their CS or accounts departments. I think I will stay with plusnet, my only problem is the long contract.

That's not my experience - I was with Vodafone for just over two years and it was good. I moved to Plusnet just on price and PN are good also.

How many times have you had to contact their support?

Sorry for late reply jelv but I never needed to contact support for help with any technical issues because I didn't have any. I appreciate that what you are saying is that if I had a technical problem then I may have been disappointed with Vodafone?

Exactly. I wish all the ratings of ISPs for support asked two questions: have you had any issues that required you to contact support and only of the answer was yes ask for the rating. I suspect that would give a very different picture for a lot of ISPs.

As would some indication of the proportion of those responding who have never felt the need to ask for support. The number of those responding "never" can be as informative as the number of those feeling that support was poor.

Good point!
If you were doing it in detail you'd also ask how many times you had to contact support to resolve your last issue. I'd bet the average would be low for ISPs like Zen and AAISP and high for the usual suspects that employ script monkeys!
