just signed up to Plusnet and off to a bad start.
asked for afternoon appointments only so what do they send.......

got a text yesterday saying router was in post and it arrived this morn.

I too received my router the next day, but only after the appointment was confirmed by text message. And that didn't happen until I had provided my MAC code (which I did after I signed up).

Because the actual date comes from Openreach to Plusnet, and Plusnet cannot order from Openreach until they have the MAC. The only real gain from signing up before you have the MAC is to secure an expiring offer. It can also be a way of ending the internal debate about which ISP to move to.
