Thanks , but there's nothing in the manual about changing routers DNS. I've used this one with VM and BT no problems.It is getting on a bit now so I might use Plusnet's, wish I knew what they were sending me, order just says Thomson 4 port, the last Thomson I used was the old Speedtouch frog about 15 years ago I think.

Assuming it is the same as the V4 it is very simple unlike the Technicolor where you have to telnet in

Thanks Jim, I've just checked Plusnet's website for using own routers and the settings are same as BT's except for the username and password.My Netgear's DNS settings are set at "Get Automatically From ISP" so it looks like it'll be OK.

if the first two are no good for pings. They should about the same tbh.
