Have you tried turning it off, and unplugging its power supply from the mains, for 15 minutes? Not likely to work, but does no harm to try.
If it still shows red after that, will it do a factory reset?
Not sure if they replace routers FOC once out of warranty.
TR-069 is implemented on the account these days, so all a new router should need is the
username@plusdsl.net and the account password. It can take 15 minutes to work. Mine does work but doesn't say so, so in the end I disconnect and reconnect.
