Sky are falling well behind...very slow at upgrading exchanges, they are not what they used to be like, I (regretfully) moved from o2/BE where I had solid 18Mb connection, 27ms pings for 3 years to sky where I had nothing but problems with phone

I made a switch in the same direction, O2 to Sky. I have to say I can't really fault either service. Luckily my area has never been hit with capacity issues with Sky, although I did have exchange capacity issues on O2 at one point, which were resolved fairly swiftly.

Oliver.

New hare. I switched from Sky - former O2 customer - and I use p2p to transfer results of my work to clients - I'm a webdesigner - this way is much faster than my almost 1Mb/s upload speed. I'm working on a projects during the day and to minimise congestion, upload the results during the night. Last 2 days I did run my client, as I always do, before going to bead at about 11:40-12:10pm and soon after that all the connectivity in my house was down. I regain internet connection only after i reset my router. Do I have grounds to call customer service at Plusnet and complain?

I'm wondering which router you are using?

It sounds as the router can't cope with the number of connections in its NAT table, something that used to be common with gaming as well.

plusnet unlimited fibre - 2 Jun 14 - 470m - 80/20 - Summer/dry sync 55/9.4, Winter/wet sync 52/9.1
15 years broadband (1999 ntl:cable trial) - Asus RT-AC68U with HG612 - BQM - Summer PN speed - Winter PN speed

As above, I had the same problem with FTTC and the Technicolor router, it just couldn't handle the connections / amount of data

It is technicolor but the funny thing is that it worked just a few days ago.

We don't block or rate limit P2P on our products/network if you choose the Unlimited service. If I'm misinterpreting your question please let me know.

Correct, as P2P are line speed when I download 3.5GB on FTTC 80/20. Transfer rate was 8.7Mb/s
