Re: Allowances

Well I'm rapidly appraoching 1 month in and I've gone from 8-10Gb peak usage to not even getting close to 1Gb without changing my usage habits.

That means that Max 1 Standard would be PLENTY for me, and costs less that Broadband Premier did for me when I was with Plusnet.

Much better service AND paying less??

If you a heavy peak user, and if you got a 9-5 job you'll be hard pushed to be a heavy user on A&A, then find a more suitable ISP for your usage.

I ordered 3 gig standard which I expect will give me breathing space. What many forget with a&a is that they consider peak time to be only 8 hours a day and not weekends whilst with many other isps its 16 hours a day including with my current isp nildram.

nildram adsl max
atten 50 - line dist 1.66 straight
4.5meg BRAS - 5184 synch

I'm just waiting until A&A do Max2 packages on monthly payments (In case anyone comments, this is not something A&A have mentioned, I meant in the wishful thinking way).

At that point I'll drop from Max 5 Standard to Max 2 Premium and pay the extra 1p a month,
have (almost) double the upload and still be well under in terms of peak time bandwidth.
