It should be OK for general web browsing and emails. It's downloading of files and streamed audio and video that can eat up the allowance. AAISP are quite good - if you are generally below the allowance and get a "blip" one month, you can carry it over to the next month. You can also carry over unused allowance.

I also altered all my 'updates' for windows etc to after 6.00pm as they can eat into your daytime allowance.

When you are registered with AAISP, they will give you a user name and password which you can use to log on to the Broadband section of their site, and you can view accurate usage figures for both peak and off-peak. There's lots of other techy stuff that you can look at too. They actually ping your router once a second, and they will probably know of a problem on your line before you do ! They also email/text you when the connection drops for more than a few seconds.

Good for you smile I still keep my PAYG though for my free calls..o2 do have the occasional good point!!!!

Another thing is that when you log on it always warns you about the web-site security certificate, just ignore that smile

as the most untechy one here even I hasn't managed to do any damage fiddling with my control panel, took me a while though to explore in fear and trepidation.

You can fix the issue with the security cert if you can be bothered - I did and no longer get the warnings... see http://www.aaisp.net.uk/cacert.html
