migration

I've bitten the bullet and asked for my MAC from Newnet. Difficult to do after 5 years but with the bbc iplayer etc my bandwidth needs are greater than they can provide at reasonable cost. I look forward to joining as soon as I can. Thans to Robert for the push in this direction.

I've rec'd my router login and password by email, does that mean I can log in now or do I have to wait for the secret password

It'll probably work by now - give it a go. Make sure that you log in via www.aaisp.net - weird things happen if you go in via www.aaisp.com

Tried that but got a connection with 2chap authentication failed". I expect there's other stuff coming the full email Not desperate just eager.
Won't try again for a while it'll upset the exchange.

ps, do they have their own dns or do I continue with open dns?

Sorry, when you said "Shall I log in now", I thought you meant logging in on their web site. Have you tried that ? Just select Broadband on the website, and log in with the username and password that you were issued. When you get your router from AAISP, it will include a booklet telling you all about DNS settings, etc, but you can continue using open DNS if you want.

Did'nt bother to ask for the router, I've got 2 already. Sorry I was not clear about the login. I'll try again to get into the website login again later when I've finished work.

Signed up on 23rd, how long normally to get information pack? Am I being too impatient?
