They still do a trial so if it is Phil can just walk away..
Note, it was all a mistake by me anyway. As for him walking away after the trial, which he most probably won't need to, if the house hasn't have VM before it isn't all done miles away is it .
For instance I considered it when I closed my office and retired, as we had no internet at home. Although the initial few feet of the underground cabling would have been easy (though across a lawn not at the side), a considerable amount of block paving would have needed lifting and re-setting.
My house didn't have it and they just put a piece of hose pipe through the bush - then did the connections etc.. It was severely poor enough to starve the Tivo of the 100Mbps it needed - they let me walk away after tech support told me the fix time was a piece of string scenario. This time around I cannot fault it - although I don't believe in using a res service for business so I have one of both - but tempted to swap one for AAISP. I did place an order with them before but VM basically cut my service down by £50 a month so I stayed for the rest of the contract. (£19 for 350/20 who wouldn't stay!?)
Some people don't want their gardens tampered with - and that's understandable
Times have changed and I hope it works out for him either way.

Thanks for the replies guys.
Ive been with VM before so know what to expect! Coax is already in the house and still live.
No worries regarding Vodafone (currently unraveling them from my sisters landline/BB where they slammed her during a mobile phone contract re negotiation! But thats for another forum, suffice to say they have lost 5 different accounts over this incident!).
I was with VM a few years ago, left due to variable BB and TV services. I am assured that things are much better, and asking around nearby it does seem to be the case. As long as I can put the modem/hub in modem mode I should be OK.
Im assured the 30 days trial still applies and I will walk should the BB not perform, Kids dont game much so shouldn't be an issue......

Fair comment. Although I am not sure the old Modem Mode and you will be fine still applies? For me personally I have a SH3 and a Hiltron both in normal mode and both doing fine.
Granted they feed into some Cisco kit but on their own I still get full speed

What will happen for existing 2TB customers?
If you're on 2TB at the moment then that sounds like our SoHo::1 tariff - if so this is being increased to 5TB/month.
Hi Andrew
So if someone is on a 6 month contract and has Home 1 then after the 6 months is it then 1 month rolling?

I'm assured that modem mode is still available.
Not that much of an issue really, I have some unfi AP's, but they should work fine.
We shall see...

It is just less of a reason to use it now unless you have a need with kit - most people did it for stability but that's sorted now (i think)

The above post has been made by an ISP REPRESENTATIVE (although not necessarily the ISP being discussed in the post).

Thanks
I hadn't see it in the status - I guess I was not reading right at that point :/

What about L2TP? When taking a service and using it in the interim will it have double too? Or is it sticking to 1TB?
