Sounds good and will go far to making this service more useful to the majority of customers as none of the big 4 offer a static IP as standard.

f8lure seems to be unreliable from the short time I've been using it, with big gaps in the graphs, yet the "second opinion" at AAISP is absolutely fine.
I come here every day so would rather my first opinion be here!

Actually no.. it was already built as functionality into a new code base - but there's a bug with the interface with the FireBrick unit that needs dealing with.. hopefully that will be resolved in a few days.

AAISP use the same technology as it's based on the Firebricks (they use them as LNS to terminate broadband connections).. but that doesn't measure Internet services. If you're on AA, a static IP should be standard though, no?

I was on AAISP, yes, but switched away due to costs. If I were still with AAISP I'd not need third party monitoring as AAISP provide LCP echo monitoring along with throughput on the same graph, which is somewhat more useful than latency alone.
My router (routerboard) has throughput graphing, so should a problem show on a latency graph I can cross-reference it with the throughput graph from my router. Not as elegant a solution, but cheaper...!

LCP Echo is great at monitoring the end circuit.. it's only possible by the ISP though

Latency throughout a connection is still useful though in identifying odd issues.

Just letting you know its works on the FRITZ!Box 4040 Router.

This device is a router only so it has no modem in it, this gets connected via the WAN Port on my ONT.

As to setting it up to work with BQM, all I did was disable all the stuff that I didn't want like WPS and Fritz related stuff.

Out of the box it allows and responds to ICMP packets / messages.

Also if it was at all possible can we have a way to change the actual IP the BQM is pinging, having to disable and remove then recreate with a new IP isn't that hard to do, but due to the way the forums work, it would result in all old posts having invalid links.

And by having a way to change the IP when it gets changed without changing the long hash type file name would be great.
