Useless BT

[link to this post]

Asked almost 2 weeks ago to have interleaving switched off on the line (was switched back on after migration to WBC)... was told it would be done in 5 days... still nothing.

Last time it took several phonecalls and emails and was only solved by contacting someone higher up in BT frown don't wanna have to go through that again... why can't they just put an option for it in my account frown

I've been switched to the WBC connect, but still on ADSL1 - which means that the upstream speed is no longer limited to 448kbit but instead syncs as high as the connection can go. Not sure if the max is 896kbit (highest I've seen so far) or 1.3mbit (the highest for the ADSL1 G.DMT spec).

I see, so how did it take for BT to change you over from when your exchange was done and did they tell you that you was being changed over?

Our exchange was suppose to have been done inat the end of march, not sure if it have or not,

Argh feel like I'm banging my head against a wall...

choice snippets being:

"I am extremely sorry to learn that the interleaving on your BT Brodband line still has not been removed. I can totally understand just how inconvenient this long saga of events has been for you. "

"Therefore, I am escalating this issue to our specialized team who will call you between 11:00 - 12:00 hours B.S.T on April 17th, 2009 " - why? just disable the interleaving already...

So we still have a few weeks here before they send a emai, that is if they decide to change us over in the same time span as you. I am not even sure if our exchange have been chanced, according to Sam knows it is still going to be changed on the 30th March 2009

I really don't understand why they don#t allow us to do that, but saying that not many ISPs give the users the option. Entanet you could do it via the control panel, not I needed to do it.

Yeah I dunno why they don't give us an option for it, its not something complicated, auto, forced interleave or forced fast path...

Still banging my head against a wall - the latest is they apparently "can't" change it while a heavy user flag is on the line so they are "going" to get that removed so they can fix it... which sounds like a complete load of crock to me, its just a simple profile switch.
