BT speed drop on ASDL line

[link to this post]

Over the last 2 weeks my speed has dropped from 01/05/10 16:33 Downstream :- 6057.70 Kbps, Upstream :- 374.91 Kbps. to 16/05/10 06:31 Downstream :- 473.91 Kbps, Upstream :- 355.01 Kbps.
I called BT they sent out someone to check the line & exchange and i was told the line is ok but BT might have to reset the card. Well BT called me to ask if the line had been checked, i told them what the enginer said and told them what speed he said i should be able to get (6212.00Kbps) and was told on the phone that the max speed will be only 1582.86Kbps. So 2 speeds from 2 different people which is right ?
I was told by BT that the speed will not be stable for another 67hrs & 28mins untill all the work was carried out.
Time is now up and all i get is 473.91Kbps downstream & 355.01 upstream & and a very noisey landline. Has anyone any ideas ?? attached are the stats from my Hub :-

Hi Donewalking,

It sounds like there is noise interference on your line that has caused your IP-Profile and sync speed to drop. If the noise has gone you should see your speed increase but this can sometimes take up to 72 hours to complete. I would like to take a look at your Broadband for you. Please could you drop me an email with your BT account details? My email address is [email protected]. Please also include a link to this thread.

Cheers

Paddy,
