I was just about to post about my hub, but I'll say it here.
I got it yesterday and everything was GREAT - hence that big post I made. But in the night, about 1 AM, I was sorting out the wires on the back of my PC and had to unplug everything. I checked the lights on the hub to make sure it wasn't updating, it wasn't. Everything was fine. So I unplugged everything, and when I connected everything back, only the wireless light and data light would turn on after its startup cycle.
I reset it and it would not even send a DHCP address to my PC's NIC. I check all my Windows settings (even the IP config to auto) but I couldn't even ping it. I think I might have disconnected it at the wrong time, but I know it wasn't in an update. I made sure before I unplugged it! I can't even ping it wirelessly with the laptop. I know it has reset itself because the SSID is back to the BT one. I connected with its own WEP key and the laptop connected, but there is no response.
The hub does make a click noise when it is powered on and powered off. I think that's normal then. But after numerous attempts, I called tech support, they understood and went through the same troubleshoot and accepted it as faulty. They have put a new order through for me so I must wait for deliver in 3-4 days. The Broadband and Internet lights wouldn't even come on, but my other router will, so it's not a net problem. It's sort of got stuck in itself and won't allow itself to be present on the network anymore.
I regret unplugging it, but there is no other way to switch it off. What if it were a power outage even if it wasn't updating.
Paul, have you ever unplugged it during no update and plugged it back in to find it still working - because it should do? Mine doesn't respond now

But I should have the right to unplug it when it's not updating...
This must go to feedback! Because it shouldn't lose its ability to connect to the network after power off. I will post soon.
Tech support even said they'll give me a pre-paid address to send this back to so they can establish the cause.
