I'm having a number of problems with my line. My ADSL connection keeps disconnecting every few minutes and the event log shows messages like:
GRP Default destination is not routed anymore via gateway 86.133.30.xxx
xDSL linestate up (downstream: 8128 kbit/s, upstream: 448 kbit/s; output Power Down: 19.5 dBm, Up: 12.0 dBm; line Attenuation Down: 42.0 dB, Up: 23.0 dB; snr Margin Down: 7.5 dB, Up: 23.0 dB)
I'm assuming the problem I have is that my SNR Margin Down is only 7.5. But I always thought the line would lower my downstream speed to try and increase the SNR value to a stable one ?
I'm currently in a situation where my line keeps disconnecting every 2-5 minutes but then reconnects with exactly the same values (i.e. downstream 8128 and SNR of 6 to 7.5)
Any idea why ADSL isn't seeing that my line is unstable and reducing my sync speed ? Or any idea's how I can fix this ? I've tried using the DMT tool to increase my SNR to 10 but it didn't appear to make any difference at all !
Thanks,
Mark
